Apr 15:American Red Cross Heroes Banquet - The 2010 Heroes Awards Banquet presented by the American Red Cross returns to the Centre on Thursday, April 15 at 6:00 p.m. This event honors everyday citizens who do extraordinary things in the community. The American Red Cross is proud to live in a community filled with individuals who are not afraid to go above and beyond. Admission tickets are $25 a person.

Apr 21:Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance - Described by the Los Angeles Times as a 'show piece extravaganza,' Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance is a magical adventure of sight and sound that transports its audience to a mythical time and place, lifting the spirits and capturing the hearts of all who experience it. Seats are $45, $29 and $19. All tickets are subject to Ticketmaster Fees, Handling Charges and Facility Fees. Performance begins at 7:30 p.m.

Apr 27-28:Sesame Street Live! 'Elmo Grows Up!' - Sesame Street fans of all ages will love When Elmo Grows Up, coming to the Centre with three shows on Tuesday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 28 at 10:30 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.

 
"A Conversation with Valerie Plame Wilson & Joseph Wilson: The Politics of Truth," will be the first event  in the University of Evansville Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana's 2010 International Speaker Series.

Apr 9-10, 16-17, 23-25: The Sugar Bean Sisters - The Sugar Bean Sisters is an outrageous, out of this world Southern Gothic comedy featuring romance, murder, and alien abduction. We meet Faye and Willie Mae as they return home to their ramshackle swamp dwelling in Sugar Bean, Florida, after a disastrous daytrip to Disney World, where Willie lost her prized Eva Gabor wig on Space Mountain. A strange bird-like woman suddenly appears out of the darkness of the swamp, setting in motion a chain of extraordinary events. Lies begin to unravel and the truth is revealed as the sisters hatch a plan to summon the space people from their past. Friday and Saturday performances at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

On display at the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art is the work of Brian Collier, and Historic New Harmony also hosts a reception at the gallery to celebrate the town’s new natural science exhibit. Event time: 4-7 p.m. 

Apr 20:Historic New Harmony: Heritage Artisans Week  - Life in New Harmony in the 1800s is recreated in this annual celebration of craft and artistry. Continues through April 24.

Apr 20:A Conversation with Valerie Plame Wilson & Joseph Wilson - Valerie Plame Wilson and Joseph Wilson, who spent more than four years in the headlines after Valerie’s status as a CIA agent was revealed by the late political columnist Robert Novak, will speak at The Victory at 7:00 p.m. on April 20. Their appearance, “A Conversation with Valerie Plame Wilson & Joseph Wilson: The Politics of Truth,” will be the first event in the University of Evansville Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana’s 2010 International Speaker Series. The event is free and open to the public. A book sale and signing will follow the lecture.
