1. What was the first musical instrument you attempted to play?

2. Do you still play that instrument?

3. What's the theme song to your pre-gig routine?

4. What are your three essential albums from three distinct genres?

5. The weirdest thing I've ever seen from the stage is?

6. The weirdest thing I've ever done on stage is?

1. When I was a kid, I remember listening to my grandpa play the piano, slide guitar, violin, Hammond organ, trombone, etc. He wasn't a professional musician, but he was one of the most musically proficient people I've ever known. Unfortunately, none of his talent trickled down to me. Anywho, I was always fascinated by his abilities and, of course, I wanted to join in. When I was about six or seven, he gave me a harmonica as a gift and said it was a very easy instrument for a beginner.

2. No, hell no. Easy?!? I still can't make sense of the damn thing.

3. The music from Sanford and Son.

4. Rock: AC/DC's Highway to Hell. This is one album that never gets old. From start to finish, it's possibly the most perfect rock recording ever.

Country: Johnny Cash's America: A 200-Year Salute In Story and Song. The history of USA as told by the Man in Black.

Amazing. But then, I could listen to a recording of Johnny reading a phonebook.

Comedy: Rodney Dangerfield's No Respect. The funniest sombitch who ever lived.

5. Wow, tough question. There are way too many to name. I think our band Mask Of Hate brought out the highest level of weirdness in audiences, but a lot of it shouldn't and probably can't (without legal complications) go into print. But, hey, trust me - WEIRD.

6. I once modeled in a fashion show for hairstylists when I was a teenager. I had long, teased hair and wore jeans with a tuxedo jacket while I strutted across the stage to AC/DC's "Problem Child." I remember thinking, "What am I doing here? Why did I agree to this? Oh well, it'll be over in a moment." Years later, a video tape of the fashion show surfaced and, needless to say, my friends were thrilled to help me relive this gross error in judgment.
