January 13-15 & 20-22 – Fame: The Musical
If the recent smash-hit Broadway revival is any indication, Fame is indeed “gonna live forever.” Set during the last years of New York City’s celebrated High School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street, Fame: The Musical is a bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor, and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today: prejudice, identity, self-worth, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse, and perseverance. The show time for the Sunday dates is 2:00 p.m. For all other performances, the curtains will rise at 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the box or by phone.

February 9th—Carolina Chocolate Drops
The Grammy award-winning Bluegrass band, Carolina Chocolate Drops, will be bringing their banjos, fiddles, guitars, snares, kazoos, jugs, and bones to their show in Henderson on the 9th—and if you’ve never seen an old-time string band, now is a good chance. Known for their energy and originality, the Carolina Chocolate Drops draw enthusiastic crowds their live shows.[31]
February 24th—Cirque Mechanics, “Boomtown!”
This show explores the relationship between man and machine. Inspired by early mining equipment and an atmosphere of adventure, the props and scenery are interchangeable in this high-energy, acrobatic performance.

February 17th-26th—The Cripple of Inishmaan
An Irish comedy based on actual events, this play is set in 1934 and tells the story of a Hollywood movie crew that arrives on an island to film a documentary. Audiences will witness the frenzy that the villagers work themselves into as they all vie for screen time.

February 4th—Evansville Philharmonic’s “A Salute to the Heroes”
This concert features a symphonic voyage through patriotic, celebratory music that honors our troops, such as music from the WWII era, among others. Includes a performance of the 1812 Overture.
February 10th—The Color of Justice
A play inspired by the events of the Brown vs. Board of Education case, The Color of Justice will be performed at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Victory Theatre. The events are told through the point of view of a courageous young girl, who provides her perspective of the battle for civil rights in the 1950s.
February 18th—Evansville Philharmonic’s “Viva Violin”
Featuring renowned violinist and Grammy nominee Elmar Oliveira performing selections from Rossini, Puccini, Mendelssohn, and Samuel Barber.
