Helping to keep the University of Evansville area culturally eclectic is a nifty new little shoppe called Widdershins. Since November, they have been located at the corner of Weinbach and Lincoln in the old Abyss Bookstore basement space. The business is not just an outlet for buying supplies such as incense, talismans, herbs and books on alternative spirituality; this unique establishment also offers a place for Pagans to network and participate in building their skills through workshops and practice sessions. Thursday night meditation sessions are held at 7:00 and owner Lynda Hillenburg makes a point to mention that you don’t have to be Pagan to be there. You should check them out in person, or on the web at www.widdershin.net. Lynda calmly assumed the Lotus position in the Hot Seat…

One that doesn’t pollute the planet. I think if we all would ride bikes (those who      can) it would solve two problems. It doesn’t make sense that people pay money to ride a bike at the gym that doesn’t go anywhere and then get into their gas guzzling SUV and go to work.

Cat person. A cat is a very good judge of character; they are still wild and become feral very quickly. They are very useful in detecting ghosts and other multi-dimensional beings. Dogs are great, but too needy for me.
